As an EMT for Monmouth-Ocean Hospital Service (MONOC),I have seen the devastating effects which cancer can do to a family. On August 3, 2009, for the very first time ever, I biked from the Jersey Shore to Camp Simcha Located in the mountains of Glen Spey NY. It encompassed a historic a one hundred thirty five mile bike ride along scenic routes to raise money for Chai Lifeline, a wonderful organization dedicated to helping very sick children and their families. I aimed for a goal of two days and finished in under 12 hours I made it! The experience of biking for an important cause like Chai Lifeline was very rewarding.

Chai Lifeline provides year-round emotional, social, and financial support to more than 3,00 children and their families every year. In my area, Chai Lifeline offers access to two dozen free programs and services and services that touch each member of the family, helping them live full and happy lives despite the presence of illness. My objective was to raise $10,000.00 by August 3, 2009 and I succeeded in reaching this goal. All donations are 100% tax deductible. If your company has a matching gift program, your gift may be doubled or tripled. Thank you for supporting me, and in doing so, helping children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment and aftermath of serious pediatric illness. Please feel free to foward this to anyone who might be interested in supporting Chai Lifeline. Please SUPPORT this cause and sponsor this historic ride.
